Do NOT do the
following:
Do not use
plumbers’ putty as a sealant when
installing these products. The use
of plumbers’ putty will VOID the
finish warranty. We recommend using
only a silicone sealant for
installation.
Do not use any
abrasive or ammoniated cleaning
agents on finishes. Avoid dripping
or overspraying of such cleaning
agents onto the fixtures by covering
the fixtures with a cloth or towel
when cleaning tiles, mirrors,
countertops, etc.
Do not allow
water to dry on the finishes and
create water spots. Most water
contains minerals that will leave
deposits, which will be difficult to
remove after the water has dried. A
liquid, non-abrasive soap may help
remove such spots. Buff and dry with
a soft cloth.
It is
recommended that you DO the
following:
Do use a liquid or spray wax every
few weeks or so, depending on the
amount of usage, to help maintain
the original finish and to give an
extra protective coating against
daily wear and tear.
Do disassemble and clean aerators
and shower heads periodically to
remove grit, dirt and mineral
buildup, thereby maintaining proper
flow and function of the fittings.
Pressure Balanced valves and
Thermostatic valves include screens
in the valve cartridges which should
be cleaned of debris about once a
year.
VALVE WARRANTY:
Legacy Brass ceramic disc cartridges
have a lifetime warranty. The
cartridge will be replaced free of
charge if defective. In-wall rough
and valve bodies will be replaced at
no charge, if found to contain
manufacturing defects.
NOTE: Access to
all rough is a condition of
warranty. Failure to provide access
voids the warranty.
FINISH
WARRANTY: Legacy Brass warrants the
finish to the original consumer
purchaser for life (except
Architectural Finishes* which are
“living finishes”) when used and
maintained in accordance with the
firnished instructions. Defective
fittings or parts will be replaced
or refinished at the discretion of
the company without charge to the
customer. This is the only warranty
granted and is in lieu of all other
warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose or
application and is further limited
to defective parts replacement only.
Labor charges and/or damage incurred
in the installation or replacement,
as well as incidental and
consequential damages connected
therewith, are excluded and will not
be paid for by the company. Some
states do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above
exclusion may not apply in all
cases.
*Architectural
Finishes include Oil Rubbed Bronze,
Dark Oil Rubbed Bronze and all
“Uncoated”, “Weathered” and
“Hammered” finishes.
